Biography:

Amir Tofighi Zavareh received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2013 (also he was the Vice President of Resana during this time!) and his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, USA, in 2019. He was with Qualcomm, as an Interim Engineering Intern, from August 2015 to December 2015 where he worked on the companies then state of the art audio codecs. Functioning as an interdisciplinary collaborator, he has experience working in academic and industrial setups with a solid understanding of signal integrity analysis. Additionally, he has academic technology commercialization experience. This experience has resulted in two start-up spin-offs with the procurement of a provisional and a utility patent through the office of Technology and Commercialization at Texas A&M University.
 
He is currently a Research Assistant Professor with the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Texas A&M University. His research interests include RF and analog/mixed signal circuit and system design for all applications, including biomedical sensing instrumentation. He received the NSF I-Corps Award, as a Technical Lead, in Fall 2017, and a Principal Investigator, in Winter 2021 and Spring 2022.
