خلال زيارتنا إلى المملكة العربية السعودية ، التقينا ولي العهد سمو الأمير محمد بن سلمان، وتبادلنا وجهات النظر حول تطورات المشهد السياسي في العراق والمنطقة وسبل تعزيز العلاقات بين البلدين والشعبين الشقيقين، وأكدنا أهمية إدامة الانفتاح السياسي والاقتصادي للعراق على محيطه العربي والإسلامي .
‏شددنا وسموه على تعزيز المشتركات بين دول المنطقة، وبيّنا أن استقرار العراق انعكس إيجابا على أمن وسلامة المنطقة، ودعونا لاستثمار الفرص الواعدة التي يقدمها العراق في مجال الاعمار والتنمية، وأن يكون للمملكة دور في النهضة العمرانية التي يشهدها العراق.
‏عن أزمة غزة دعونا إلى استثمار قرار مجلس الأمن لإيقاف الحرب والشروع بإغاثة النازحين، وإعمار القطاع.
‏أكدنا أيضا أهمية إدامة الحوار بين فرقاء المنطقة، ورغبة العراق بإنهاء مهام التحالف الدولي لمكافحة داعش، وقلنا أن العراق يسعى للانتقال إلى علاقة بينية مع بعض دوله أساسها المصالح المشتركة واحترام سيادة البلاد.
‏دعونا أيضا لتبادل التجارب في مواجهة التحديات كتحديات المناخ والأفكار الدخيلة على مجتمعاتنا العربية والإسلامية، وإلى حوار على المستوى الاجتماعي والديني لإيجاد رؤية مشتركة للمواجهة، وتمنينا للمملكة العربية السعودية مزيدا من التألق والازدهار .
During our visit to Saudi Arabia, we met the Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman and delved in the evolving political landscape in Iraq and the wider region, and explored ways to strengthen ties between our two nations and peoples. We affirmed the significance of maintaining Iraq's political and economic openness towards its Arab and Islamic neighbors.
We and His Royal Highness stressed the importance of fostering common ground among regional countries, highlighting how Iraq's stability positively impacted regional security. We advocated for seizing the promising opportunities for reconstruction and development in Iraq, inviting Saudi Arabia to contribute to Iraq's ongoing urban revitalization.
Addressing the crisis in Gaza, we urged implementation of the Security Council resolution to halt hostilities and begin humanitarian relief efforts and reconstruction.
Furthermore, we emphasized the necessity of ongoing dialogue among regional factions and expressed Iraq's intent to conclude the mission of the international coalition against ISIS and stated Iraq's aspiration for bilateral relationships based on mutual interests and respect for the sovereignty of the country.
Additionally, we called for sharing experiences in tackling challenges such as climate change and foreign ideologies impacting our Arab and Islamic societies. We advocated for social and religious dialogue to forge a shared vision for addressing these challenges and extended our best wishes to Saudi Arabia for continued prosperity and success.
