اشتباهات رايج گرامرى زبان اموزان

What percentage of the gross are you getting on that deal?

واژه ”Percent” پس از يك عدد به كار ميرود. مثل:
Twenty-five percent of all toddlers believe in the Easter Bunny.

ولى "Percentage" با اعداد به كار نميرود و در واقع به معناى بخشى از كل ميباشد.
به ياد داشته باشيد اين واژه به تنهايى نميتواند مقدار ان بخش از كل را توصيف كند و براى مشخص كردن زياد يا كم بودن ان قسمت، ميتوان يك صفت به كار برد. مثل:
A large percentage of the audience walked out in indignation, but a small percentage thought the joke was funny and stayed to hear more.

مثال هاى بيشتر:
She is taking a percentage of the profits and buying a year’s worth of pickled herring.

Only 5 percent of the students voted to ban jeans.

Only a small percentage of people agreed with the verdict.

His contract nets him a 2 percent royalty.
