‘A man once visited me to ask for advice, and I noticed that he repeatedly took oaths, over things which were correct and over others which were not. More than ten oaths - all of which he swore by Allah upon!

Be aware, Allah SWT commanded us to:

وَٱحۡفَظُوۤا۟ أَیۡمَـٰنَكُمۡۚ

“But guard your oaths.”

(Surah al-Ma’idah, 5:89)

And not to use His name in vain:

وَلَا تَجۡعَلُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عُرۡضَةࣰ لِّأَیۡمَـٰنِكُمۡ

“And do not make [your oath by] Allah an excuse.”

(Surah al-Baqarah, 2:224)

Always remember that you’re accountable for every oath you take – so take precaution and guard your words carefully!
