(Al-Shaykh Ibn al-ʿUthaymīn): The field in which a woman works | Dr Zakir Naik

(Al-Shaykh Ibn al-ʿUthaymīn):
The field in which a woman works should be only for al-nisāʾ (ie: women),
المجال العملي للمرأة أن تعمل بما يختص به النساء

such as if she works in teaching girls, whether in administration or technical support, or she works at home as a seamstress sewing clothes for women and so on.
مثل أن تعمل في تعليم البنات سواء كان ذلك عملا إداريا أو فنيا، وأن تعمل في بيتها في خياطة ثياب النساء وما أشبه ذلك،

As for working in fields that are for men, this is not permissible for her because it requires al-ikhtilāṭ bi ʿl-rijāl (ie: her to mix with men),
وأما العمل في مجالات تختص بالرجال فإنه لا يجوز لها أن حيث أنه يستلزم الاختلاط بالرجال

which is a great fitnah (source of temptation and trouble) and should be avoided.
وهي فتنة عظيمة يجب الحذر منها،

It should be noted that it is proven that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “I have not left behind me any fitnah that is more harmful to men than women.”
ويجب أن نعلم أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ثبت عنه أنه قال: "ما تركت بعدي فتنة أضر على الرجال من النساء".

So (the man) should keep his family away from places of fitnah and its causes in all circumstances.
فعلى المرء أن يجنب نفسه وأهله مواقع الفتن وأسبابها بكل حال.
