NIW based, PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Applied a year before PhD graduation with 7 journal papers and 183 citations. By the day of approval, 9 journal papers and 650 citations and a postdoc in Civil and Environmental Engineering.

The officer asked about my military service status and prove of educational exemption. He asked me if I have ever denied for a US visa. He got my medical examination document (I-693). He requested supplement J but I printed out the paper shows that I do not need it. Asked for the copy of my passports, EAD card, US visa, PhD certificate, and my new address. At the end, He said the purpose of interview was making sure I still live in the US or not. He said he will ask for further documents by mail if he needs any and if I get approved I will get my green card in 2-3 weeks. My case was approved an hour after the interview.

I worked with Chen immigration law firm. I was pretty happy and everything was very accurate, clear, and spot on especially about interview preparation and documents. I did everything with them through emails and their portal message box and never even spoke to anyone there.
