" Each "and" every "+ singular countable noun and use a singular verb.

Each member of the team has a car.
Every student has passed the exam.

"Both" + "plural" countable noun and use a plural verb.

Both cars are new.

 "Either "and "Neither" + Singular Noun  and use a singular verb.

You may borrow either car.
Neither car is new.
