A Pearl from Sahifa Sajjadiaاللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِهِ
وَنَبِّهْنِي لِذِكْرِكَ فِي أَوْقَاتِ الْغَفْلَةِ
وَاسْتَعْمِلْنِي بِطَاعَتِكَ في أَيَّامِ الْمُهْلَةِ
وَانْهَجْ لِي إِلَى مَحَبَّتِكَ سَبِيلاً سَهْلَةً
أَكْمِلْ لِي بِهَا خَيْرَ الدُّنيَا وَالآخِرَةِ
O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household,
Incite me to remember You in times of heedlessness,
Employ me in Your obedience in days of disregard,
Open a smooth road for me to Your love,
And complete for me thereby the good of this world and the next!
