کاشان اولین دستگاه بافنده قالی ماشینی را به کشور وارد کرد. این شهر اولین فرش ماشینی را در دهه ۵۰ تولید و عرضه نمود و به قدری در این زمینه موفق بود که لقب پایتخت فرش ماشینی جهان را از آن خود کرد.در سال ۱۳۸۷ اولین تابلو ماشینی در کاشان تولید شد.
Kashan imported the first machine-made carpet weaving machine to the country. This city produced and supplied the first machine-made carpet in the 50's and was so successful in this field that it became the capital of machine-made carpet in the world. In 2008, the first machine-made carpet was produced in Kashan.
