سرپوش زینتی، بازوها و لباس های فاخر این تندیس ایستاده همه نشان از آن دارند که تندیس هایی مشابه این، شمایلی از محافظ شخصی پادشاه، وزیران و یا امیران می باشد. این تندیس احتمالا به منظور تزئین سرسرای ورودی دادگاه حکومتی و برای یکی از پادشاهان سلجوقی، خراجگزاران محلی و یا یکی از جانشینان وی ساخته شده است.
The ornate cap, arms, and luxurious garments of this standing statue all indicate that statues like these represent the personal bodyguard of the king, ministers, or princes. The statue was probably erected to decorate the entrance hall of the government court to one of the Seljuk kings, local tax collectors or one of his successors.
