Witnessed cardiac arrest while on a monitor - up to three
successive shocks before CPR

The 2015 ALS quidelines endorse three quick successive ('stacked')
shocks in cases of monitored and witnessed cardiac arrest (if VF/
pVT).

Chest compressions at a rate of 30:2 would be correct in cases of
cardiac arrest that are not witnessed and monitored, or in PEA/asystole.

Amiodarone 300mg is administered after the third shock (in shockable
rhythms).
