Interview with "Seyed Jamaluddin Mousavi", a well-known TV journalist and presenter / 4

I do not see a project in Iran with the direct agenda of purging the Taliban

It should be investigated to see what problems in Afghanistan caused the country to fall? This would happen even if the media did not cover it. The media can not close its eyes to reality. The error comes from somewhere else, but the media is blamed. The question is, has the Taliban had a strong media over the past 20 years? The media is somewhat effective but not decisive.

Asked if the Taliban might be recognized, he said: "I want to tell a story from behind the scenes. A meeting in Washington attended by American politicians addressed three points:
1- The issue of withdrawal of forces and agreement for the withdrawal of soldiers
2- Limiting the US presence in Afghanistan to a political presence
2- Talks about recognizing the Taliban
US politicians believe that the US withdrawal from Afghanistan has been widely criticized. Therefore, today, the only consequence of recognizing the Taliban will be more criticism. I do not think the United States is in a position to recognize the Taliban.

When the state of US relations with a country becomes tense, the United States establishes an "interests section" office. Today, with the establishment of an interests section office in Qatar, one can guess the approach of the Western bloc, which will delay the recognition of the Taliban.

I do not have much information about the Eastern bloc and China. I believe that if someone lights the first light in recognition, other countries may follow. China has a purely economic view of Afghanistan. It may join the Taliban because of the need for lithium, which is abundant in Afghanistan, but I do not have exact information about this matter.

If by US withdrawal from Afghanistan we mean a military withdrawal; Yes they are out. But no one can give an exact answer if we mean and intelligence and security withdrawal. And if we're talking about a political withdrawal, some second and third-level American leaders still travel to Afghanistan, which is also reported in the media.

I am not in a position to evaluate and judge the activities of other media. Every media outlet has reasons for its actions. The performance of each front and group must be published. This is how the facts are clarified. We must be the narrators of the facts.

I do not see in the Islamic Republic a project with a direct line of purging the Taliban. Because there are centers like the Jomhuri Eslami newspaper that speak out against the Taliban.

My personal assessment is that the neighboring countries were surprised. Three months after the Taliban took office, there is still confusion.
Even Afghan politicians have repeatedly changed their stance on the Taliban. In my opinion, these issues are highly dependent on the individual, national, political and ideological interests of each country.

There are three groups in politics:
1. Realists: for whom the beliefs of the people are irrelevant and who only seek economic gain.
2. Idealists: who are idealistic and advocate for democracy and human rights values.
2. Those who emphasize that history, interests and ideals must be preserved.

The ideals of each country are different, just as the national interests of each country are different from the interests of another.
