⠀ ṣāliḥ al-fawzān said, "prayer appears in different contexts in the qurʾan: sometimes Allah commands its performance; sometimes He reveals its merits; sometimes He speaks of its rewards; and sometimes He associates prayer with patience and orders the servant to seek help through them in trying times."
