⠀⠀ abū ḏarr said, "my companion ʿalayhi al-salam advised me with seven: love the poor and be near them; look to those who are beneath you and do not look to those who are above you; never request anything from anyone; keep close ties with your kin even when they sever ties with you; speak nothing but the truth, even when it is bitter; do not let the abuse of those who abuse you deter you from the path of Allah; and say often, ‘lā hawla wala quwatta illa billah,’ for this belongs to the treasure hidden beneath the throne."
