The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, affirmed that the Iraqi security and military forces will not be party to any political disputes, and will remain committed to their duties in protecting Iraq and sanctity of Iraqi blood.

The Commander-in-Chief directed the enforcement of strict legal and disciplinary measures on all Iraqi security personnel that do not abide by these firm orders.

His Excellency Mustafa Al-Kadhimi directed security and military units to monitor their members and enforce legal procedures against violators.

The Commander-in-Chief ordered security and military institutions to refrain from issuing statements of political nature and abide to the chain of command.
