امام سجاد (ع) می‌فرمایند:

مردمانی که در زمان غیبت مهدی(عجل الله تعالی فرجه)به سر می‌برند و معتقد به امامت او و منتظر ظهور وی هستند، از مردمان همه زمان‌ها برترند، زیرا خدایی که یادش بزرگ است به آنان خرد و فهم و شناختی ارزانی داشته است که غیبت امام برای آنان مانند حضور امام است.
