prophet muḥammad ʿalayhi al-salam said, "in paradise there are chambers whose outsides can be seen from inside, and whose insides can be seen from outside. Allah has prepared them for those who speak good words, feed others, fast regularly, and pray during the night while people are asleep."

هذا - عبادَ الله - شهرُ رمضانَ قد انتصفَ، فمَن منكم حاسب فيه نفسَه للهِ وانتصف؟ مَن منكم قام في هذا الشَّهر بحقِّه الَّذي عرف؟ مَن منكم عَزَمَ قبلَ غَلْقِ أَبوابِ الجنَّةِ أَن يبنِيَ له فيها غُرَفًا مِن فوقها غُرَف؟ أَلا إِنَّ شهرَكُم قد أَخذَ في النَّقصِ، فزيدوا أَنتم في العمَل، فكأَنَّكُم به وقد انصَرَفَ. فكُلُّ شهرٍ فعسىٰ أَن يكونَ منه خلفٌ. وأَمَّا شهرُ رمضانَ فمِن أَينَ لكم منه خلف؟!

"believers, turn to Allah in sincere repentance. perhaps your Lord may forgive your sins and admit you into gardens underneath which rivers flow. on a day when Allah will not disgrace the prophet or those who have believed with him. with their lights spreading rapidly in front of them and to their right, they will say, ‘our lord, perfect our light for us and forgive us: you have power over everything.’"

عن أَنسِ بن مالكٍ رضي الله عنه، قال:

كان رسول الله صلَّىٰ الله عليه وسلَّم إِذا استقبلَه الرَّجلُ فصافحَه لا ينزِعُ يدَه من يدِه، حتَّىٰ يكونَ الرَّجلُ الَّذي ينزع، ولا يَصرِفُ وجهَه عن وجهِه، حتَّىٰ يكون الرَّجلُ هو الَّذي يصرفه.

قال الطِّيبيُّ: فيه تعليمٌ لأُمَّتِه في إِكرام صاحبِه وتعظيمِه، فلا يبدأُ بالمفارقة عنه.
