ده دلار مبلغ زیادیه.

در دو مثال بالا کل مسافت و مبلغ مد نظر است. ولی اگر تعداد اجزاء مد نظر باشد، از فعل جمع استفاده می کنیم.

Ten dollars were scattered on the table.
اسکناس های ده دلاری روی میز پخش شده بودند.

در مثال بالا تعدادی اسکناس مدنظر است.
