یعنی همه شواهد نشون میده که طرف یه آدم تلاشگر و با استعدادیه ولی خودش فکر میکنه موفقیت هاش شانسی بودن یا نتیجه فریب دادن بقیه بوده! بعضی وقتا آدم این حسو پیدا میکنه

اگه خلاصه بخوایم بگیم، accident اتفاقیه که ضرر جانی و مالی ممکنه به همراه داشته باشه. البته بعضی وقتا (مثل happy accident) میشه ازش استفاده مثبت هم کرد. اما incident تقریبا میشه به هر اتفاق، رخداد یا واقعه ای گفت، چه خوب چه بد. خیلی جاها نوشتن که هر accidentی incident هست اما برعکسش صادق نیست. واقعا من نمیدونم چرا گیر میدم به این تفاوت های controversial بین کلمات! ولی یه فلوچارت پیدا کردم شاید بتونه کمکتون کنه تو استفاده از این دوتا کلمه.
چند تا مثال هم ببینید:
Accident
There was huge accident, which cost many lives on the bridge.
Mike was injured in an accident at work.
I accidently lost my keys.
Running into Molly was a happy accident. (Positive implication)
Incident
Two people were shot yesterday in two separate incidents.
Many such incidents go unreported.
Mary was shaken by the incident.
The bombing caused an international incident.

تو جملات شرطی گاهی میشه if رو جایگزین کرد با کلماتی مثل unless, suppose, in case, provided that و ...
Unless: unless + affirmative verb = if + negative verb
Unless you hurry, we're going to miss the movie (if you don't hurry, ...)
